Kookaburra has landed.
Kookaburra, the new audiobook by internationally bestselling Australian author Bronnie Ware, is out now.
This one means rather a lot to me.
Bronnie’s invitation to audition arrived at a moment when I was seriously wondering whether it was time to hang up the headphones. Instead, along came Jetta, a kookaburra and a story I couldn’t help but fall into — and suddenly I had a very good reason to stay in the booth.
From Bronnie’s very first email, I knew how precious this story was to her. She was wonderfully involved throughout the production, working with me on the sound, tone and characterisation she had imagined for her characters. Being trusted to bring them to life was a responsibility I didn’t take lightly — and an experience I’m enormously grateful for.

The Voice Behind the Mic
Pauline came to Australia as a child — not an orphan, but a package deal, parents included — courtesy of the UK.
What followed was a voice shaped by two hemispheres: British roots, Australian polish, and a delivery that knows when to behave and when to have a bit of fun.
Today, that voice is put to work across corporate narration, commercials, video games and long-form storytelling — trusted, versatile, and always on brief.
